R2-D2 was a genuine droid-of-all-trades. But the ability to hack into hyperdrives and electrocute Ewoks is pretty useless here on Earth. That's why brainiacs have created the utterly astounding R2-D2 Mobile Entertainment System. Human-cyborg relations? This incredible appliance of science (fiction) is set to redefine them completely.
R/C Droid
As well as functioning as a fully maneuverable RC version of the galaxy's favourite droid, the gorgeously engineered R2-D2 Mobile Entertainment System contains (deep breath) a built-in CD/DVD player; hi-tech projector for DVDs, photos and PS2 games; an iPod dock; wireless FM audio transmitter; 20w stereo speaker system with Dolby 5.1 capability; several memory card slots and a laser disintegrator.

Millennium Falcon remote
Okay we lied about the disintegrator but everything else is true. This cute little fella even lets out Artoo-esque beeps and whistles every time one of its backlit access doors pops open. And get this - you control all the functions via a Millennium Falcon-shaped remote. No, really!
R2's projector puts Leia's grainy distress holograph to shame. It projects media on to an 80" screen and, thanks to a viewing angle of up to 65 degrees, it can even project on to the ceiling.

If you're worried that this do-everything droid might topple off your sand barge when you're entertaining guests/overseeing executions, worry not. Built-in sensors ensure Artoo stays away from drops, Death Stars and any other danger. Better still, you won't need the Force or even the assistance of Kenny Baker to power this stupendous piece of kit - the whole thing is powered by a rechargeable battery.
It goes without saying that the R2-D2 Mobile Entertainment System is the ultimate bit of kit for Star Wars-loving tech geeks. We guarantee friends will drop to their knees and weep the second it trundles into the room, beeps and projects Empire Strikes Back on the wall. This is the droid you're looking for!

I bought one of these a couple of weeks back and when you get over the feeling of geekiness that this thing gives out it really is a great bit of kit. Looks great in the living room and seems solid and sturdy. Only problem I have now is keeping guests from messing about with it.
