Cinzano Bianco is a fragrant, full-bodied and delicate aromatised wine prepared according to an original recipe. It is an extrememly versatile sweet vermouth that can be served either as an apperetif or as a cocktail ingredient, but should always be served well chilled.

More subtle and teasing. Not as much a knock-out punch on the finish like the Talisker 10 and 18, but rather more steady intense blows to the abdomen for many rounds. An aging Talisker, but still with many redeeming qualities. It is drier than its younger siblings, with less fruit and more of a stony texture, with dried spices and lingering leather notes. This whisky requires more patience and demands more concentration, but it is still rewarding to the seasoned aficionado (with some extra pocket change).

Made by Gordons, established in 1769 and is the definitive sloe gin. Ripe sloe berries are steeped in Gordon's gin to produce a delicate balance of flavours.

'Class in a glass'. To create The Balvenie Portwood 21 Year Old, rare 21 Year Old Balvenie - which has been matured in traditional oak casks - is transferred to a port cask, or pipe, which has held fine port wines. Here it is sampled every month by The Balvenie Malt Master to ensure that just the right amount of character is imparted by the port casks, enhancing and developing the single malt, whilst preserving its original characteristics. At this year's International Spirits Challenge, The Balvenie Portwood 21 Year Old was awarded a prestigious Gold Medal. In 2004, it received a trophy for 'best single malt 12 years and over' at the International Wine & Spirits competition, being described by the judges as 'class in a glass'. A single malt of refinement and remarkable character, it is creamy and silky with fruit, honey and spice notes, and has a long and gentle nutty finish.

Limited quantities available. Aged 15 years, the Reserve du Domaine was originally reserved for the Barbancourt family and their friends. Savour the result of the mingling of these great flavours. This premium bitters is a strictly limited edition item and they bottle it only once a year in the spring. When it's gone it's gone (until next year anyway).

Some herbs, such as thyme, rosemary, savory and sage are actually harvested in Forcalquier. The exact place and date of the harvest varies each year. However, some always come from the same area, such as verbena citronella from Forcalquier. Other items, including the spices, of course, arrive from more distant lands; China may supply the star anise, or the licorice may come from Syria. They extract the aromatic principles from the harvested and dried herbs. We let them macerate in alcohol. The temperature, time and alcohol content yield the desired taste. The infusion is ended and extraction takes place. In our press, we separate the infused liquid from the herb part to obtain the last juice to be added to the infusion. After the herbs are pressed, they still contain many aromas and essences. By distilling them in our old still, we extract them. Some infusions are also distilled to give them greater finesse. Mixing the infusions and distillates produces the flavoured spirit. This flavoured spirit, a product of each of the herbs and spices, is what they need to assemble the product. And this is the most delicate part of the process. The volume of the infusions varies according to temperature, so the infusions are weighed as opposed to measured. Their aromatic characteristics can vary also according to harvest. The dosage of anethole and sugar are also crucial. To keep the product's qualities constant, it is essential for a taster to analyze and taste the product at every stage of production. Final assembly, which must be perfectly executed, creates this symphony of aromas and flavours. Next there are the final inspections followed by the final tasting. A taster directs this final phase. The last procedure is bottling.

Passion fruit liqueur.

The Berentzen Fruit Liqueurs are the logical consequence of the sales success of the Apple Liqueurs. Set up on the knowledge of producing soft spirits, they have the same base of wheat spirit.

Amontillado Hidalgo is produced according to the traditional methods as stipulated by the controlling body of the Denomination of Origin 'Jerez-Xeres-Sherry'. Fino, or in this case Manzanilla sherry is aged until the protective covering of flor yeast dies back as a result of consuming all the nutrients in the wine. Amontillado is therefore a combination of flor (biological) ageing with oxidative ageing to follow. Aged in a fractional blending solera system to ensure consistency, this wine is lightly sweetened prior to bottling. Taste: Rich warm flavour, slightly sweet. Smooth. Aroma: Full nutty. Serve at room temperature as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to desserts.

Patron Silver is called young or 'joven' tequila. A similarity may be made to a young or nouvelle wine. It is known for its light, fresh, crystal clear look and an elegant smoothness not found in other silver tequilas. Many prefer this smooth, soft and light tequila over an aged and slightly oaky flavour. Those that know the difference may find Patron Silver the finest silver tequila available. After harvest the 'pina' are carefully selected, trimmed and then slowly steam baked. When cooked to perfection the 'pina' is macerated with large, natural, stone-milling wheels. The fermentation is done with the fiber of the 'pina' which helps impart its unique flavour and smoothness. After a double distillation process the tequila is aged in small oak barrels. When properly aged the tequila is fine filtered and ready for careful hand bottling. Each bottle is invidually signed and given a unique bottle number due to the limited number produced.

Mandarine Napoleon was created in 1892 by Antoine-Fran?ois de Fourcroy. Its complexity derives from its secret combination of mandarin and twenty one botanicals.

The curacao alcoholate is obtained from the double distillation of sweet and bitter oranges. The fruit liqueur maker then steps in to give its finesse and mellowness to the Curacao liqueur by means of subtle blending. Adriano is a 6 year old blend. It is from 6 or 7 years old that Port Wine begins to accelerate its red pigmentation and the tannin nuances begin to appear. Colour: With the red nuances of semi-evolved tawnies, with the orange coloured meniscus, effect of its aging. Nose: Shows a great density, with touches of fresh fruit (cherry and blackberry). The aging in oak adapts to the appearance of dried fruit aromas and ethereal and balsamic aromas. Palate: On the palate, the fresh fruity flavour is intense and gradual.
